A waitress at a Greenville South Carolina Cracker Barrel said she felt “humiliated” and “heartbroken” by a “tip” that came in note form. The note said, “The woman’s place is in the home.” Renee, the server, said the couple she served appeared to be in their mid-50s and a note was left instead of cash. The note thanked Renee for her “excellent service,” but went on to tell her that her “place is in the home” and her working is a “disgrace” to her husband’s “manhood” and the reason he “must see another woman on his way home.”
