I’m not sure why, but I have been thinking about (and missing) Opryland a bunch. Not talking about the Hotel or the mall but the amusement park... Grizzly River Rampage, the Flume Zoom and, one of my favorite rides ever, the Screamin’ Delta Demon! According to the American Trucker Association, there are 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the US, and an additional 5.2 million people employed within the truck-driving industry who don’t drive the trucks. An unusually large baby boy was recently born at a hospital in Pittsburgh. It weighed 13 pounds, 10 ounces. [The boy is healthy, happy, and has just signed Alabama.]

The Muppets series has released the first trailer...  yes, I said the Muppets... did you know they show is coming back to TV.  The new Muppet Show features Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and more, and is presented in the show’s mockumentary style.  Not too sure about but the preview is our video of the week... enjoy...

According to a study, being vocal could actually help you tolerate the pain. Researchers tested how long subjects could keep their hands immersed in very cold water before they couldn’t take it anymore. They found that saying “ow” during the experiment increased the subjects’ tolerance for pain.

Congratulations to the Newsboys... their iconic anthem, "God's Not Dead", the title-cut from the group's 2011 best-selling Inpop recording, has been certified Platinum!  That means single sales are excess of 1 million units, the award marks a career milestone for the GRAMMY®-nominated mega group and is one of the first Platinum® single certifications in Christian music this year.

An Oregon (Keizer) family with a tradition of making epic Halloween costumes for their children who are bound to wheelchairs is launching a nonprofit to build costumes for other kids. It’s called Magic Wheelchair. Ryan and Lana Weimer have been making costumes encompassing wheelchairs for their own sons, ages 9 and 3, who have a form of muscular dystrophy. Now, the Weimers are gearing up to build five additional Halloween costumes this year, for other wheelchair-bound children.
