The 2014 Dove Nominations are out... for awhile now as we get set for the Dove Awards.  The GMA Dove Awards will actually take place on Tuesday, October 7 at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.  and will be taped for broadcast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on October 12, 2014.

Parents in a village in England have removed around 14 children from a school after they instituted a blanket ban on packed lunches. Milefield Primary School (in Grimethorpe) says the only options open to parents now are to let them have a school lunch or to go home. 

A driver in England (Lincolnshire) has racked up almost $23,000 in parking fines after ignoring more than 140 tickets. David Lee's bill is one of the highest ever recorded in the UK, and grew so large after he repeatedly broke the rules, often by parking in disabled spaces.

I found a very interesting site this week worldometers.info...  it basically tracks, well everything.  births, deaths, cars produced, money spent, cellphones sold, blogs written and more...  it somehow keeps track and totals them all up for you... if it's right then it's absolutely fascinating... for instance when I looked at it - which was at 8:30 Monday AM... there had already been over 1 billion google searches... 

Ladies, if you're in the market to get hitched, find a short guy. A new study (out of NYU) found short men marry later, make more money while in the relationship, and divorce less than their taller counterparts.  All right!  No more short jokes!
